There’s plenty for you to do whilst staying at Nether Glenny Farm.

Nether Glenny Farm is nestled in the Menteith Hills in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. That means there’s an abundance of things to do during your stay with us. There’s literally something to suit everyone from climbing munros, scaling the treetops and wild swimming to eating at amazing restaurants and taking a cruise. Below you’ll find our favourite things to do and all just a short drive away from the farm.

Eat at Nick Nairn’s restaurant at Port of Menteith

Nick's at Port of Menteith offers a foodie experience like no other where they offer a simply exquisite dining experience with simple foods done exceptionally well, including the infamous Paul's pizza. They also host Home by Julia Nairn, the home and lifestyle shop tailored by Julia Nairn to showcase her favourite brands and local businesses.

Scale the treetops at Go Ape in Aberfoyle

If you are looking for an adventure that will live with you and your Tribe forever, you've arrived at the right place. Go Ape Aberfoyle offers exhilarating and unrivalled outdoor activities. Home to two of the longest zips in the UK, you'll be flying over trees and waterfalls with unprecedented, seasonal views of the hills, valleys and Highlands.

Enjoy the views at David Marshall Lodge

Enjoy panoramic views and scenic trails, including a gentle stroll to a waterfall and more strenuous routes to lofty woods and rocky crags.

Hire a bike in Aberfoyle

Whether you need to hire a bike, get a repair done, get some route advice or pop in for a coffee, we’re here for you. The shop is located in the centre of Aberfoyle village with free parking at the back door. Cycle routes start directly from the shop and lead into the countryside in every direction.

Take a cruise on Loch Katrine

Cruise on Loch Katrine, admiring the fantastic landscapes and connecting with nature. Loch Katrine has drawn tourists for hundreds of years, ever since Sir Walter Scott’s vivid descriptions inspired a generation of Victorian tourists to visit the loch to see the landscape for themselves.

Climb a mountain

We’re surrounded by some spectacular hills including a Ben Lomond, a Munro (mountain over 3000ft), Ben Ledi, a Corbett (mountain over 200oft) and Ben A’an, a hill with great views. Find out more about each of them below.

Go wild swimming

If you fancy a cold water dip or even a swim, we have some fantastic lochs in the immediate area around Nether Glenny Farm. Here are our our favourite three:
