Nether Glenny is an 84 acre hillside farm and has been in our care for the past 12 years during which we have changed the focus from sheep to cattle.
We grow and raise grass fed beef from a mixture of Highland and Short Horn native breeds.
As well as the farm we have diversified to create quality holiday accommodation from what was once the cattle barns.
Merlin, Kestrel and Buzzard sit within the four acres of the farm’s gardens whilst the Nether Glenny Bothy is a unique off grid dwelling some 300m from the farmhouse nestled in the Menteith hills.
The farm is home to the Woods family, 3 children, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 pet sheep, and a small flock of peacocks and pheasants. We moved to Nether Glenny Farm in 2012.
We are proud of our Green credentials and happy to let you know that we save 19 tons of carbon per annum by not using fossil fuels to heat space and water at the farm.
Our guests constantly remind us of how wonderful the crisp water tastes and it’s no surprise as it’s provided by our own spring situated in the Menteith hills.
