On the 8th of September we celebrated the arrival of 5 peachicks! This is Albi and Mildred’s first offspring. We were very sad when two chicks didn’t make it, however we are delighted to say that the other three are thriving! We have two girls and the little yellow one is a boy. The chicks and Mildred have a heated room to sleep in and during they day we can let them wander in the gardens ( under close supervision !) for a few hours. It is wonderful to watch Mildred teach them how to drink, eat and peck for worms. They obey her every noise. Albi seems to enjoy their visits to the garden and can be seen following them around so we assume he is a very proud father ! During the Nether Glenny Farm Tours Matthew will stop by there home where you can feed the Peachicks for yourself. To book a Farm Tour contact Matt on 07548677343 or book via the website.
We have had lots of fun harvesting the fruit from the orchard these last few weeks. Look out for our plum and cinnamon jam which is on sale at the ‘wee shop’ by the cattle grid on your way into Nether Glenny. Please take a jar home with you and enjoy it this autumn.
Albi and Mildred are the newest additions to Nether Glenny. Father and daughter have been rescued from a pub in Luton. Albi's feathers are truly magnificent and if you are lucky you might find one and be able to take it home.
This season we refurbished Merlin Studio. It's perfect for two people for as litte as one night. We have had lots of guests who are travelling through the country and many who just fancy a night away from the city. Bathrobes, Scottish Fine Soaps and Breakfast are all included. Pop inside the page and book online @ Merlin

We welcome Anna and Samuel from the Sweeden to Nether Glenny this Spring. They are doing a great job of preparing the cottages for our guests as well as taking Max, Jack and Gem for daily walks in the hills. The Nether Glenny gardens and ready to prepare for the summer as well as all the lovely pots around the cottages. We are all looking forward to getting started on this. In the meantime we will enjoy the tremendous array of daffodils surrounding the house and cottages. The garden tables need a fresh coat of linseed and the sun chairs dusting off ! Summer bookings are on a roll now and the last of the Spring Breaks are being enjoyed. The National Park is awakening.
